Compassionate and Evidence-Based Support
A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. While your doctor, midwife, and nurses provide essential medical care, their schedules often involve shift changes and rotating providers. As your doula, I offer something different: a consistent presence and someone who takes the time to get to know you, your hopes, and your concerns.
My role is to walk alongside you, helping you understand your options and providing evidence-based information so you can make decisions that feel right for your family. I'm not here to make choices for you, but to support and encourage you as you navigate pregnancy and birth with confidence.
Research has shown that continuous labor support can lead to improved birth satisfaction and is associated with lower rates of cesarean birth and certain medical interventions. For families planning a VBAC, thoughtful preparation and strong support can also help increase the chances of a successful vaginal birth.
During pregnancy, I can connect you with resources and information to help support a healthy, low-risk pregnancy whenever possible. We may talk about nutrition, movement, optimal fetal positioning, childbirth education, and any additional support that may be helpful along the way.
Together, we'll explore your birth preferences and create a birth plan that reflects your values and priorities.
"Evidence shows that those who are involved in their care have better pregnancy and birth outcomes"
